PROGETTO AGON: 24 scholarships awarded for the a.y. 2022/23

The 24 scholarships of the Progetto AGON for the academic year 2022/23 were approved by the commission composed of Prof. Laura Montanaro, Vice Rector of Politecnico di Torino and President of the Scientific Committee of the Collegio Einaudi Foundation, by Prof. Corrado Lupo, Rector’s Delegate of Università degli Studi di Torino, by Dr. Sara Rainero representing EDISU Piemonte, by Dr. Davide Passantino, representing the Collegio Einaudi Foundation, by Prof. Riccardo D’Elicio, Delegate of the National CUSI, by Dr. Andrea Ippolito representing the CUS Torino and by Dr. Francesca Iebole Head of the Agon CUS Torino Project, by Avv. Luca Olivetti lawyer of the commission.

AGON is a scholarship program created with the aim of guaranteeing deserving young athletes, coming from all over Italy and abroad, access to the highest levels of academic education by practicing sports in a reality of excellence. Today, thanks to the AGON scholarship program, athletes are first and foremost university students of excellence, a living testimony to the fact that it is possible to practice sports at a high level and follow a university career with excellent results, with the aim of achieving at the end of your sports career ready to enter the world of work. Athletes from all over Italy and abroad who attend, or will attend, in the academic year 2022/2023, the Turin universities and will practice high-level sports in the following disciplines: male and female rugby, male and female Olympic wrestling, athletics men’s and women’s table tennis, men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s rowing and women’s field hockey.

The Collegio Einaudi Foundation for the academic year 2022/23 contributes to the dual career project of deserving athletes students by providing 4 commodation benefits.

In fact, 14 full scholarships were awarded (university fees, university residences made available by Edisu Piemonte and our Foundation, food and sports training) and 10 scholarships (university fees and sports training).

Progetto Agon has meant that over the years the interest of students/athletes towards the Savoy capital has grown more and more; this thanks to the model proposed by the Turin university sports system, that is to reconcile the university career with the sports one.
