Gruppo FAI Giovani Torino and Collegio Einaudi have started a collaborative venture that will see the Collegio Einaudi Foundation’s historic headquarters, the Valentino residence hall, become one of the heritages open to the public and enhanced by the FAI, but…also by our students!

On May 27, 2023, the residence that housed Umberto Eco will be open to the public with a guided tour of its history and developments.

In fact, the Valentino residence hall was one of the earliest examples in Italy of a building with a specific purpose as a “student house,” characterized by the presence of a loggia at the top (later modified with postwar elevation), the regularity of the openings, and the klinker cladding that wraps facades, cornices, pillars, and the loggia itself.

While the purpose remains unchanged, the current configuration of the building is the result of numerous modifications over the years, both to enhance its capacity and to adapt it to emerging regulatory requirements.
