On Tuesday, March 19, at the Sala Colonne of Palazzo Civico in Turin, the award ceremony for the Collegio Universitario Einaudi Study Prizes took place, in the presence of Carlotta Salerno, Councillor for Educational and Youth Policies of the City of Turin.

During the event, 45 study prizes were awarded to 18 female students and 27 male students, coming from the Polytechnic University of Turin (23) and the University of Turin (22), for a total amount of €40,500. These prizes were made possible thanks to the generous donations of the Collegio supporters and the contributions of institutions and associations, including the City of Turin, Studio Torta, AIEA Association, SIAT Society, and Rotary Club Torino 1958, as part of the “Accendi il futuro” fundraising campaign.

In addition to the study prizes, 11 free or partially free study places were assigned, for a total value of over €70,000, allowing deserving students in economically disadvantaged conditions to experience collegiate life without charges or at reduced costs. Four of these places were funded by the Fondazione CRT, five through the bequest of former collegian Anna Bonino, and two thanks to the fundraising campaign among former collegians.

Furthermore, 6 graduation awards were granted, for a total of €9,000, funded through memorial donations and bequests. These awards were designated for three-year degrees in Engineering and master’s degrees in Medicine and related fields.

This initiative, launched in the 2015/16 academic year, has so far awarded a total of 512 Study Prizes, amounting to nearly €500,000 over the years.

During the ceremony, the President of the Collegio Universitario Einaudi, Paolo Enrico Camurati, stated:
“Believing in young people, creating real opportunities for them, and supporting the development of knowledge is a fundamental mission for Collegio Einaudi. Through study and training, we can respond to the challenges of our time and make the best talents available to the community.”
