Collegio Einaudi: 90 Years of History, Education and Shared Future | Special Thanks and Press Review
On October 24th, 2025, Collegio Einaudi celebrated ninety years since its foundation with a special event held at the National Museum of the Italian Risorgimento in Turin, bringing together the entire Einaudi community — students, alumni, staff, partners, and supporters — for a morning dedicated to memory, celebration, and a vision for the future. The event was also attended by representatives of the Conference of Italian Merit University Colleges (CCUM), highlighting Collegio Einaudi’s leading role within the national network of merit-based university colleges.
Hosted by Manuela Grippi, the celebration featured speeches by Paolo Enrico Camurati, President of Collegio Einaudi, along with numerous representatives from academia and local institutions, as well as members of the CCUM.
In his address, President Camurati emphasized how “the weight of tradition is a backpack full of experiences that enriches us without weighing us down, helping us look ahead,” recalling the Collegio’s ability to renew itself over time without ever losing its identity.
Among the most heartfelt moments of the morning was the speech by Francesco Profumo, President of Isybank and former Collegio resident, who reflected on the enduring value of his experience:
“The Collegio was never just a place to sleep or study for exams: it was — and still is — a community. A school of life. When I think of the Collegio, two words come to mind above all: merit and community.”
The program also included the panel “Beyond the Collegio”, featuring testimonies from former students who have become leading figures in culture, research, entrepreneurship, and international cooperation, as well as the inauguration of the 2025/26 academic year, with awards for students and collaborators recognized for their dedication to Collegio life.
Founded in 1935, Collegio Einaudi was created to offer university students not just accommodation, but a space dedicated to education, merit, and community. Over the past nine decades, more than 10,000 students have lived and grown within its walls, making it a national benchmark among Italy’s Merit University Colleges.
A future that looks ahead
The 90th anniversary of Collegio Einaudi is not only a celebration of the past but a renewed commitment to the future — to promoting excellence in education, openness, inclusion, and innovation.
Throughout 2025, the Collegio hosted numerous initiatives — from the festival “A Community That Thinks”, dedicated to artificial intelligence, to the photo exhibition “90 YEARS YOUNG!” — each narrating the faces and stories of a vibrant and ever-evolving community.
Collegio Einaudi warmly thanks all students, alumni, institutions, partners, and supporters for their closeness and affection.
